The last weekend of February every year starts the season of Traditional Music in Doolin, Co Clare, with live music nightly up to mid November and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday all year round. And what a way to start with musicians descending on Doolin from the four corners of the world to attend workshops and perform in all the pubs and Russell Cultural Centre.
Thursday night warms up with music sessions in all the Pubs.
Friday night has a showcase of local young talent and a host of musicians in the Russell Cultural Centre (Doors open at 7am) with Traditional Music, Set Dancing and Sean Nos. Followed by music sessions in all the pubs.
Saturday and Sunday has a host of events, concerts and work shops in the the Russell Centre plus all the pubs.
Monday winds up! to some great music sessions in all the pubs.
So a great four days of festivities to shake off those winter blues!

Holy Wells in the Burren
The 1st February is an important day in Ireland – it is St. Brigid’s Feast Day, and also the beginning of spring. There are many holy wells that resemble each other, in spite of a huge variety of the ways they are built (or occur naturally). And then there is St. Brigid’s well in Liscannor, on the inland side of the Cliffs of Moher.
