Ballyvaughan Bay Hop trial launch
The service will run twice a day from 2nd to 14th September from Ballyvaughan New Pier across Galway Bay .
There is ample parking space available at the pier where commuters can leave their cars and enjoy a stress free visit to Galway City across the bay and back again.
Some Guesthouses and Restaurants are offering special packages for visitors to the Burren for the duration of the trial.
Liam O’Brien of O’Brien Line ferry is operating the fully licensed 12-seater passenger RIB. The RIB is one of the safest and fastest types of boats available with a rigid hull and an inflatable outer rim. It is fully enclosed providing passengers with a dry, comfortable journey.
Ballyvaughan Bay Hop is a not-for-profit community group with the sole purpose of proving that there is strong interest and need for this type of transport option from both sides of Galway Bay. We are very grateful to the Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geopark for supporting this trial with funding under the TransTourism project.
Tickets are available from the Ballyvaughan Bay Hop website.
