The Market House
Market House Ennistymon is our family run Butchers, Gourmet Delicatessen & Café in the heart of Ennistymon. The Market House itself hosted the Ennistymon Butter Market in the late 1870’s and the building remains virtually unchanged to this day.
Sean Haugh has been sourcing beef and lamb in North Clare for more than 30 years. All our beef and lamb is finished on clover and salt covered grass at Kilkee and dry aged for 21 days. Our fields have been commercial manure and pesticide free for four generations, a legacy we are very proud to continue sharing with our customers.
Sean and his team of artisan craft butchers have extensive knowledge and are here to help you choose your weekend roast, slow cooking cuts or inspiration for your next dinner celebration from home.
Our café continues our commitment to fine food produced locally; St. Tola’s Goats Cheese, Burren Smoked Salmon, Celtic Salads and Doonbeg prawns as well as our own house-baked meats, freshly made gourmet salads, sandwiches & home-made desserts make for a diverse and delicious daily menu.
Customers will enjoy browsing traditional local crafts, Irish food treats and organic wines during any visit and we offer a fabulous range of bespoke gift hampers for a special and unique gift. If the weather’s good, why not pop by and grab a picnic for your trip to the Cliffs of Moher?
